Col Terrance J. McCaffrey, USAF (Ret), is currently serving as the Director of Emergency Management at Volunteer Florida. Prior to this position, Terry served the State of Florida as the Executive Director of the Florida Defense Support Task Force, the Planning and Design Administrator with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and as Assistant Director of the Division of Recreation and Parks with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He transitioned to state government after more than
26 years of active duty service in the US Air Force.

Col “Marco” McCaffrey’s final active duty assignment was Commander of Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment 145 at Florida State University (FSU), Tallahassee FL. Col McCaffrey was responsible for recruiting and overseeing the preparation of all officer candidates through a comprehensive college program
at FSU and three cross town universities.

Dr Ira E. Opatowsky MD, Ophthalmologist, was commissioned an Honorary Colonel by LTG Baumann and presented with a USV-JSC polo shirt and hat with USV-JSC logo.  The Doctor donated to the USV-JSC a $1000.00 check.  The Doctor's Staff and Waiting Room Patients watched.

  Brigadier General, USAVR, Timothy Miller, Commanding General, 103d BCT, 10th Regional Command, US Volunteers-Joint Services Command has been invited to attend and make a presentation on Emergency Operations at the National Joint Tribal Emergency Management Conference, Green Bay, WI, August 2019. This is the largest gathering of Native American Emergency Managers and Homeland Security personnel in the United States. Tribal, federal, state, local and regional partners will be in attendance. The Conference's intent is to raise awareness of the Tribal Emergency Management programs and share information across the nation.

Also in the picture are MAJ John Pennington with BG Ben Tran. There is a POD for each of the Command and General Staff positions as well as each of the ESFs. POD #8 is ESF #9 and #14. Also shown is the computer system in the EOC. WebEOC is used to track missions and information with the emergency.

The 101st BCT and the 103d BCT combined Ops Teams and performed Final Military Honors Ceremonies at Tahoma National Cemetery, WA, for June 2019. The 101st BCT Ops Team trained US Volunteers of the 103d Ops Team and then combined Ops Teams performing scheduled Ceremonies. Well Done!

United States National Reserve Corps (USNRC)
 
United States National Reserve Corps (USNRC) members attended the USV-JSC Commanders' & Staff Meeting, 9 March 19 at the Long Beach VA Medical Center, Long Beach, CA and participated in Basic Drill & Ceremonies (D&C) Training conducted by CSM Aguilar, National Command Sergeant Major. The USNRC members embraced the training having not had D&C training in decades. The USNRC members asked to receive more training in the future.
