Michelle Black



Michelle Black is a mother of two boys, a Gold Star wife, and the author of Sacrifice: The Green Berets, a Fateful Ambush, and a Gold Star Widow’s Fight for the Truth (G.P. Putnam’s Sons; May 10, 2022).

As the first woman in her family to graduate high school, she attended California Polytechnic State University where she graduated with a degree in environmental sciences and horticulture.

Michelle has a passion for writing. She has been published in various newspapers and magazines to include the New York Times, The Daily Beast, and Task & Purpose. She lives in Washington State.

4th Regional Command HQ and 42d BCT US Volunteers achieved success with the Department of Veterans Affairs Baldwin Medical Center, Orlando, FL negotiating a Conference Room for USV-JSC Monthly Commanders' & Staff Meetings.
The dedication of the 4th Regional Command Leadership and unceasing contacting of the Medical Center Staff is a huge success of recognition of the federal status of the USV-JSC and the mission: BOOTS ON GRAVES!

On the evening of October 29, 2022, US Volunteers of the USV-JSC Sustainment Command and 92d BST, celebrated the 92d BST Anniversary of its years of service in the USV-JSC at a restaurant in Phoenix, AZ. A good time was had by all!
